Just picked up the M642 S&W concealed carry handgun
First thoughts: Right out of the box, I’m totally impressed with this handgun! The fit and finish are both superb. I picked this handgun up on the recommendation of a friend who has been carrying this handgun for quite some time now. I took his to the range and the handgun shoot like I would expect a double action only concealed carry revolver to shoot – I bit of kick and not a ton of accuracy. Just picked up a set of Ergo XTR 1911 grips for the STI Spartan. The feel of the grips in the hand is something akin to grip tape on a skateboard. It’s not quite as sharp but the grain is larger. It’s almost like a super heavy grit sand paper – but made of rubber. I really like the feel! Another nice feature about these grips is that they seem to be skinnier than the previous wood grips.
